Batman is dead! A new expansive, criminal underworld has swept the streets of Gotham City. It is now up to the Batman Family – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin – to protect Gotham, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations.
I was able to download Gotham Knights using my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The game was a bit hefty for my liking, but it did download pretty fast on my Xbox. Gotham Knights played very well on my Xbox Series S and the visuals were excellent on my 4K television. I was amazed by the story as it felt like your reading from the comics. The controls were a bit difficult to master for my liking, but it was a decent game though.
Our Thoughts
Pro:
- Story
- Batman is dead! The cape crusader was killed and its up to his family to get Gotham back from the criminals and figure out the mystery that is haunting Batman. This story felt like it was straight from the comics and each investigation in the game, you learn a bit more about certain characters.
- Skills upgrade
- I like this a lot! Your able to upgrade your skills and get new abilities for your characters. Crime fighting is tough and with this aspect, this helps you out a bit when fighting and even traveling around Gotham.
Con:
- Controls
- I’m not a big fan of the controls of the over all game. The utilization of buttons to activate things takes a while to learn, yet feels foreign when attempting to use.
