Goro Taniguchi of ONE PIECE FILM RED to Announce Dark Machine Anime Production at Comic Con in San Diego

July 25, 2024, METAX-FZCO (CEO: Takashi Murakoshi, Headquarters: Dubai, UAE), the operator of the Web3 project Dark Machine, will hold an anime production announcement event at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2024 in San Diego, USA. The panel is entitled “Dark Machine: The Game and Anime” and will be held in Room 5AB at the San Diego Convention Center.

Murakoshi of METAX stated, “The anime adaptation of Dark Machine is a pivotal moment for us. This project is based on our passion for exploring the new frontier of merging gaming with web3, and we are delighted to deliver this new story to our fans in the new form of anime.” He continued, “Dark Machine will continue to expand as a cross-media project, aiming to convey its charm to an even broader audience.

For the anime adaptation, Dark Machine has enlisted Goro Taniguchi, known for directing works such as “One Piece Film Red” and “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion,” as the creative producer, and Hidetaka Tenjin, renowned for his work as a mechanical artist in the “Macross” series, as the lead mechanical designer.

Taniguchi commented, “There is no end in the expression of anime. It must constantly seek new things and evolve. I am honored to have the opportunity to merge the potential of gaming with the narrative power of anime as the creative

producer for Dark Machine. We are challengers. We aim to bring the efforts of all the staff involved in this project, striving towards the future, to our audience.” He added, “We hope fans will thoroughly enjoy the world of Dark Machine.”

Goro Taniguchi is an animation director and producer. He started his career at J.C.STAFF, became a director at Sunrise (now Bandai Namco Filmworks), and

debuted as a director at Production I.G. He has directed numerous works, including “Infinite Ryvius,” “Planetes,” “Maria the Virgin Witch,” “Jungle Emperor Leo,” “Back Arrow,” “One Piece Film Red,” and “BLOODY ESCAPE,” both original and adaptations. He has been a central figure in the “Code Geass” series.

About Hidetaka Tenjin

Hidetaka Tenjin works primarily as an illustrator, designer and concept artist and has provided illustrations for model kits ranging from Hasegawa’s MACROSS line to BANDAI SPIRITS’ GUNDAM and STAR WARS lines. In the field of anime, some of his most notable contributions include mechanical art for MACROSS ZERO, MACROSS FRONTIER and AQUARION and the creation of mechanical designs for HELLSING, MACROSS DELTA, KNIGHT’S & MAGIC, SUPER ROBOT WARS T,
