GRAMMY-Award winning global icon and leader of the música Mexicana movement, Peso Pluma has unveiled the highly-anticipated music video for “HOLLYWOOD,” featuring Estevan Plazola, from his chart-topping album ÉXODO. The official music video for “HOLLYWOOD” is now available on all platforms.
In “Hollywood” Peso Pluma explores themes of ambition, disillusionment and the emotional rollercoaster of success. Throughout the official music video, viewers see a montage of exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage of Peso Pluma and Estevan Plazola from the past year, interwoven with clips from the ÉXODO Tour. In these never-before-seen moments, viewers experience an intimate glimpse into aspects of Peso’s life which are rarely visible to the public. Just like the lyrics implore, the video explores the contrasting realities of his journey, capturing moments of the duo singing the song together, life on tour, interacting with the band and preparing for performances. By presenting multiple angles of their experiences—on stage and behind the scenes—the video aligns closely with the song’s deeper message, emphasizing that the life they portray is not always as it seems and that there are always two sides to every coin.
Referencing material wealth, success, and the allure of a glamorous lifestyle often associated with Hollywood, the lyrics highlight the duality of life in the limelight, and while money is a symbol of achievement, it does not necessarily bring fulfillment or happiness. Rooted in his signature fusion of música Mexicana with modern elements, the song explores the duality of chasing dreams while grappling with the realities of fame.
