GameBaby is a simple idea: a daily iPhone case that flips into a physical-button gaming setup when it is time to play.
The case keeps things simple, with no Bluetooth pairing, no battery to charge, and no extra setup.

We were able to get a sample product of the GAMEBABY Retro for our iPhone 17 Pro phone to review. I was able to do a First Look video below of what you would get with the GAMEBABY Retro.

First Look:

The look and feel of this case reminds of my Gameboy in my closet. I bought it, well my mother bought it, when I was a young child and played it all the time. My original Gameboy is still in my closet, but with the GAMEBABY Retro, I’m able to relive those games. The case felt secure on my iPhone 17 Pro and didn’t move around at all. I felt very comfortable with the case on my iPhone 17 Pro phone as it provided protection when I’m not gaming yet.

I was also surprised after learning you don’t need Bluetooth to use the controller on my phone. I own a few controllers for my iPhone to do mobile gaming and they all required Bluetooth. This controller didn’t need Bluetooth but provided an attach and play concept to my iPhone that reminded of the days of plug and play.

I’m able to play NES, Gameboy, GBA, and GB Color games as well. I prefer the Gameboy games as I’m able to able to relive my old games that I have in my closet with a fresh new take. My iPhone 17 Pro is able to play these games with such ease and effectiveness!
