GalaxyCon, a three-day celebration of fandom with celebrities, creators, voice actors, cosplayers, entertainers, fan groups, gamers, panelists, and more, will host its first convention at the Austin Convention Center, Sept. 1-3, 2023. GalaxyCon is coming off a banner year in Raleigh where the convention welcomed more than 50,000 attendees. The group also hosts conventions in Richmond, Columbus, and Des Moines.

Organizers will host a colorful ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Sept. 1 at 1:30 p.m. with special guests including cosplay characters and potential celebrity guests*.

Tickets are on sale now and will sell out fast.

In addition to communal activities and spectacles, the event will once again bring together some of the most beloved celebs from movies, television, comics, wrestling, and gaming.

The 2023 lineup includes:

*Celebrity guests may be limited in their press interactions in 2023 due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. Organizers are eager to support press development of alternative stories for 2023 including but not limited to economic impact for Austin, fan and cosplay preparation, fan enthusiasm, non-SAG-AFTRA member interviews (voice actors, creators, cosplayers, etc.),  and the inner workings of putting on a convention of this size and scope.
