From the Vault: Revenge of the Sith Star Wars Miniatures

Seeing as Star Wars has its own day of observance (May the 4th), I thought that it might be fitting to review “Revenge of the Sith” on that same day. I literally dusted the midi-chlorians off this game as I was taking it out of my carbon-freezing chamber, I mean vault.

The “Revenge of the Sith” was a unique release in the series in that it was boxed like a board game unlike other releases in its series. Released in 2005 by Wizards of the Coast, Revenge of the Sith features Obi Wan Kenobi and General Grievous alongside a couple of Clone Troopers and Super Battle Droids. The contents also include a cardboard material map which is usually made out of glossy poster-like paper, a die, and some markers to track health and force usage.

At the time of its release I was heavily into Heroclix, which has a lot of similarities to Star Wars Miniatures, and being a bigger fan of both the Marvel and DC Universes it didn’t leave much room in my Millennium Falcon to begin adding Star Wars miniatures to my vault. Still, as a tabletop enthusiast the board game box appealed to me so I picked it up anyway. I immediately liked it and bought another starter set to add to my forces, but because there wasn’t much interest in my gaming community I abandoned it and locked it away in my vault.

Curious about what else I had to say? Well lucky for you I made a very special “From the Vault” video where I go over character abilities, tips and an overall review. I even give it a number review, a trend I hope to continue as I travel through the uncharted waters of Kamino. Please watch the video below if you’re curious to see the contents of Revenge of the Sith and the other starter set I mentioned as well.
