Free League Publishing is proud to share that Vaesen – City of My Nightmares took home the Gold ENNIE Award for Best Adventure – Long Form at the 2026 ENNIE Awards, held during Gen Con.
Written by Kiku Pukk Härenstam, City of My Nightmares is a four-part campaign for Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying set in 19th-century Stockholm. What begins as an investigation into a series of grisly murders soon pulls players into a deeper mystery tied to the origins of the Society itself, with artwork by Johan Egerkrans and Anton Vitus bringing the supernatural city to life.
Vaesen – City of My Nightmares is available at the Free League webshop with complimentary PDF access, and in hobby stores worldwide.

The win capped a strong showing for Free League at this year’s ENNIE Awards, where the publisher received three nominations across two titles, including two for Coriolis: The Great Dark Core Rulebook for Best Game and Product of the Year.
The ENNIE Awards are an annual celebration of excellence in tabletop roleplaying games. Nominees are selected by a panel of judges, with the final Gold and Silver winners decided by public vote and announced at Gen Con.
