Helsinki, Finland, June 16th 2021 — Virtual and social games developer Sulake have today announced that Habbo users will be able to sell their hotel room designs in-game as user generated room bundles. Despite Habbo‘s twenty-year lifespan, this is the first time players will be able to earn in-game currency from selling their bundles using the in-game Navigator.
In this new update, Habbo residents will now be able to submit their own room designs, containing the furniture in the room and where each item is placed, to be sold in the in-game Navigator. Habbo users will require a Builders Club membership in order to sell their bundles, purchasable through the in-game Navigator for a mixture of in-game currencies. Buying the user generated room bundles will be cheaper than buying items individually from Habbo‘s Catalogue, and the room creator will get a percentage of the paid price to keep for themselves!
“We’re very proud to announce this platform for hotel residents to sell their own user generated content, a feature that has been requested in the past” said Sulake CEO, Valtteri Karu. “There are so many creative Habbo users that will really benefit from being able to sell their hotel room designs, it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate that and let them earn from their creations!”
