Movie description from Max: : Left homeless by a flood, a solitary kitty begins an unlikely adventure with a wide array of very different animals in this Oscar®-nominated tale. Very vague in my book, but hey I’m always ready to try something new.
I was able to sit down with my family and watch Flow on Max. We were excited to watch and check out the movie as we never heard about it. I know my children watch those ads on their apps which usually shows movie trailers. This time, they didn’t see anything in media for the movie Flow. I went in blind and I enjoyed the movie a lot! The animation was top tier with the animals and showcased their emotions using Manga style reactions. The story is good and you learn the significance of the flood during the movie, which I will not spoil here! I did hope for some dialogue or talking or narration in the movie, but all good. This was a good watch for the family!
Pro:
- Animation
- The animation was top tier in Flow the movie! I was shocked on well it looked on my television. You can see it has a mix of Manga in the characters which defines their emotions more in my opinion. This is greatly needed with a movie that doesn’t have no talking or dialogue.
- Story
- A cat is lost during a flood and is trying to find a way to survive it. The cat then meets other animals in weird places where they relied on each other to survive. You watch as none of the animals talk but rely on instincts, motions, and reactions. I loved the story as you can see how much they let their guards down to trust each other and help each other survive.
Con:
- No Dialogue
- I was surprised there wasn’t any talking in the movie with the animals. Everything was by assumption by the actions of the animals towards the objects.
Rating: 9 out of 10
