The first ever South Asian House at SXSW 2023 was an experience! They had various panels, hosted a red carpet event, awards ceremony, Oscars watch party, happy hours, tea times, and of course live music! South Asian House was the place to be at during SXSW 2023! They had a little bit of everything for the everyone attending SXSW! The South Asian House wasn’t too far away from the convention center so it was clearly walking distance.

South Asian House brought into light the stories that are told through movies, shows, and shorts from many talented people in the industry. The shorts we saw at South Asian House were amazing and modern. They tackled many issues that resonated in their world by the use of action, comedy, and truth. They didn’t hold anything back in the shorts and captivated audiences that attended these shorts. I was glued to the TV screen just watching these shorts!

Red Carpet Event!

We had the opportunity to attend the Red Carpet event prior to their awards ceremony. Many producers, directors, actors, actresses, and more from various movies and TV shows came out for the event! We were able to participate on the Red Carpet to capture moments on photos and film. Below are some of the pictures we took from our photographer Bernard Cruz. Afterwards, we were able to create a TikTok video as well as Youtube Short of the Red Carpet event!
