Fells and Micah Martin Join Forces For “Transcend” Out July 15, On Lowly

Multi-genre producer, Fells, is joining forces with vocialist, Micah Martin, for his second single of the summer, “Transcend.” This record is about coming out of your shell and living life without fear. This is an issue many individuals face, and it’s captured by the hook of the song “We’re stuck waiting for the day we can transcend. This song is a reminder to flip the page in your story and start the first sentence of a new chapter.

Not only does this record feature dance music elements such as euphoric synths and a big energetic drop, it also features alternative rock elements such as distorted electric guitars, acoustic guitars and acoustic drums. “Transcend” follows Fells’ previous single “Easy Yes,” which was also released via Lowly. The instrumental of ‘Transcend’ came extremely naturally and was finished in three days. Once Fells wrote the main acoustic guitar riff, everything else fell into place easily and he found himself with a finished demo.

“I knew I wanted a grittier vocal and Micah came to my mind right away. I have been listening to Micah’s music and have admired his songwriting for years ever since I started listening to dance music. I’ve always wanted to collaborate with him so I’m extremely excited to have finally put out a song with him” says Fells.

Micah Martin makes an impact through his anthemic vocal range and lyricism. As Micah works diligently on his pop-leaning debut studio album slated for release next year, his cuts with Trevor Daniel, Imanbek and Don Diablo, including both the “Travis Barker Alt Version” and the original for “Kill Me Better,” position him as one to watch both in his dance features and original pop works.
