Space Explorers: The ISS Experience”, produced in association with Time Studios, today announced the appointment of Stéphane Ruel as Head of Space Technologies and Oliver Trudeau as Vice President, Distribution & Partnerships. These two leaders will support the studio’s current and future space-related productions,global distribution of its award-winning immersive content catalogue, and partnerships and sponsorships with Space industry partnerships and global brands. Felix & Paul Studios is the only media company to be recognized as an “Official Implementation Partner” by the ISS U.S. National Lab.

Stéphane Ruel joins Felix & Paul Studios as Head of Space Technologies with over 20 years of experience specializing in vision systems for space applications. Ruel will lead the development of technologies to support the studio’s current and future productions in Space, beginning with the upcoming Episodes 3 and 4 of the immersive series “Space Explorers: The ISS Experience”.
Prior to joining the company, Ruel served as General Manager and Director of Research & Development at Lumbird, one of the world’s leading specialists in lasers. Previously, Ruel spent 18 years at Neptec Design Group, most recently as Vice President, Innovation. He has extensive experience in the design, development and operations of space hardware and software at all TRL levels, collaborating with industry, governments and academia. Ruel holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from Laval University and an MBA from the International Space University where he is also an alumnus of the ISU’s SSP program.
Olivier Trudeau joins Felix & Paul Studios as Vice President of Distribution and Partnerships, leading immersive content distribution ,brand and industry partnerships to expand the studio’s global presence.
Trudeau joins Felix & Paul Studios with over 20 years of experience in digital content monetization and distribution including 10 years at CBC / Radio-Canada where he served as Executive Director of Digital Growth and Distribution, negotiating commercial deals and partnerships with major digital players including Google, Facebook, Spotify, Netflix, SnapChat, Apple and Microsoft, and major North American telcos including Rogers, Bell, Videotron, Telus and Shaw.
Prior to CBC, Trudeau held management positions in Quebecor Group highly integrated media organization and in the digital music industry. Trudeau holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa.
Trudeau will lead monetization initiatives for Felix & Paul Studios’ portfolio of over 30 immersive experiences which are available for licensing on a wide array of platforms including 360-degree mobile on 5G-enabled smartphones, tablets and headsets; domes and planetariums; fully-immersive virtual reality on Oculus headsets from Facebook and other high-end virtual reality platforms; Giant Screen projection systems; and via the touring life-scale immersive exhibit, THE INFINITE, produced in partnership with PHI Studio.
