NEW EP ‘MY LAST DEBUT’
Farco and Damian C. join forces for their collaborative project ‘My Last Debut’. The two artists have been killing it on their own, so their collaboration is set to rock the charts and playlists this summer.
Mark Diedrichsen aka “Farco” is a 25-year old music producer born and raised on the Jersey shore. As a teenager, he initially began making music because all of his friends were rappers and needed beats. During his senior year of high school, Farco fell in love with electronic music and decided to begin DJ’ing. He has since opened for Ja Rule, Ashanti, Tory Lanez, Pauly D, Paris Hilton, Kirill Was Here, Dannic, and Mike Stud. His six remixes on SoundCloud gained hundreds of thousands of plays and drew the support from The Chainsmokers, Two Friends, Justin Caruso, Milk n Cooks, Run The Trap, Smash The House, and many more.
Damian C. began playing guitar at the age of six, but it was not until the age of 19 when he enrolled in a song writing course at his alma mater. Damian soon made a name for himself and begun securing live shows at iconic venues such as the famous New Jersey venue, The Stone Pony in Asbury Park as well as two slots in the SXSW Film and Music Festival in Austin, Texas.
After the 2 joined forces for the collaborative EP they locked themselves in a bedroom for a week during quarantine, wrote 20 songs and narrowed it down to the best 4 for an EP. Speaking more on the EP, Farco explained: “In terms of genre, it’s in many ways a fusion of all the music we listen to. It has modern pop elements, jazzy guitar chords, new funk wave, R&B and Soul influence, and even a small sprinkle of hip/hop influence. I think the overall vibe of the record is that 2 guys have figured out their sound. As for the new of the EP, we went with “My Last Debut” not only because that is the name of one of the tracks, but this hopefully will also be our last “debut” release as upcoming artists.”
Music helped Farco and Damian C. deal with the roughest times of their lives and the entire reason they make music is to simply make people feel good. He wants to create music that truly connects with people. Listening to music, especially at live shows, helps you forget all your problems, at least for a little bit.
Farco and Damian C. are definitely ones to watch out for in 2020.
