LONDON [01/13/2021] – Groundbreaking button-free VR/AR gaming controller etee took 4th place at the CES 2021 Last Gadget Standing Competition. etee is a new kind of games controller which gives users free, fluid, mesmerizing VR and AR experiences powered by patented proximity, touch, gesture and pressure sensing technology.
Developed by London-based tactile control specialists TG0, etee successfully crowdfunded through Kickstarter in 2020, achieving backing from hundreds of amateur and professional gamers and artists worldwide. Following the successful crowdfunding and awareness-raising campaign, etee was nominated for the prestigious Last Gadget Standing award, beating more than 100 other applications. This award identifies technology innovations which are ‘most likely to succeed’, and is one of the keynote events of the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), the most influential technology event in the world. On Tuesday, January 12th, etee competed against four other finalists for the award in a digital-only session presented by Emmy award-winning tech journalist Jennifer Jolly. A live online audience watched a succession of three-minute video skits then voted for their favorite device.
