London-based independent studio, Solar Sail Games, and award-winning publisher, Curve Digital have released their stunning new survival RPG, Smoke and Sacrifice, on PC (Windows) and Nintendo Switch for $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99, with a 20% discount for its first 2 weeks of sale. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will follow later in 2018.
In a hand-painted, darkly fantastical setting where grotesque creatures roam and harsh customs rule, players assume the role of Sachi, a young mother on a quest to discover the fate of her child, who has been sacrificed to the Sun tree – the only source of light in a world with a dead sun. Journeying to a shadowy realm in search of her kin, Sachi will encounter other wayward souls, each with their own story to tell.

Taking cues from modern survival classics, Smoke and Sacrifice evolves the genre with its deeply personal story and fully functional ecosystem. Creatures will forage, breed and prey on one another in the game’s living, breathing world. Players must trap creatures, bait beasts, train animal companions, and disguise themselves in order to survive. It’s only by fighting, crafting, exploring, and outwitting this harsh wilderness that you’ll uncover the fate of your child and the mystery behind your village’s sacrifices.
