Endzone – A World Apart Update Research Equipment

Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Gentlymad Studios today announced the release of another exciting update to award-winning survival city-builder Endzone – A World Apart. The tenth update, titled “Research Equipment”, features improved expeditions, reorganized technology, and two new buildings: the Water Point and the Electric Water Pump.

Having the right equipment and research is vital to the survival of any apocalyptic settlement, and with this update, Endzone – A World Apart sees the tech tree undergo a total reorganization. The different technologies are now grouped into levels that can be unlocked via Research Utensils, which are found during expeditions — find enough of these and players can unlock the next level in the tree.

Watch the new Research Equipment trailer here:

A reliable source of water is crucial to the survival of a colony, but with the population spread thin, it can be hard to find someone to maintain the pumps. The Research Equipment update provides a solution via the Electric Water Pump, which runs automatically with no need for a human to operate — provided it’s hooked up to a power grid. Of course, making sure this water is available to everyone in the colony provides problems of its own, with large settlements making it difficult for survivors to get the precious H2O they so desperately need. Luckily, players can now build Water Points, providing settlers with access to the precious liquid without having to walk across the whole map.

Assemble is also extremely pleased to announce that Endzone – A World Apart has been nominated for the German Developer Award (DEP) for Best Indie Game. The DEP recognizes and celebrates outstanding achievements in the development of video games in German-speaking countries and is one of the biggest of its kind in Germany. Endzone is also celebrating another milestone: over 150,000 copies sold in Early Access!

Endzone – A World Apart follows a group of refugees who, more than a century after a devastating worldwide nuclear terrorist attack, are leaving their underground bunkers and rebuilding society. After 150 years of dwelling underground in bunkers called “endzones,” the Earth’s surface seems like a breath of fresh air, though that couldn’t be any further from the truth!

Developed by Gentlymad Studios and published by Assemble Entertainment, Endzone – A World Apart is currently available in Early Access on Steam and plans for a full launch later in 2021. Endzone – A World Apart will continue to roll out major content updates up until the game’s full launch. Players can look forward to new buildings, upgrades, system updates, and various gameplay improvements in January!

As an added bonus, Assemble Entertainment has teamed up with the charitable organization One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every Save the World Edition bundle purchase. Not only that, players that buy the Save the World bundle will also receive a free copy of the game’s stellar soundtrack!
