EMILIA CEMENTS POP ICON STATUS CLOSING OUT HISTORIC 10-NIGHT MOVISTAR ARENA RESIDENCY IN BUENOS AIRES FRIDAY, MAY 31

MIAMI, FL (June 3, 2024) – During the months of April and May, international pop icon Emilia dominated Buenos Aires with 10 unforgettable nights at the Movistar Arena, making history as the first artist to sell out 10 shows in 10 hours. From humble beginnings in Nogoyá, Argentina to commanding the stage for 120,000 devoted fans during her Movistar residency, Emilia continues her meteoric rise to global pop stardom.

In an extraordinary musical production, Emilia conveyed a trip back to the unforgettable sounds of the 2000s, a musical time capsule where she perfectly fused pop, R&B, dance and hip-hop with modern rhythms. The classics from her repertoire were interspersed with the great new viral hits from “.mp3” album, which recently won the Premio Gardel for “Best Urban Pop Album.” Throughout her Movistar residency, Emilia shined in hard-hitting performances with special guests including Duki, Tiago PZK, Nicki Nicole, TINI and more, also filling the crowd with emotion as she performed her heart-wrenching single “Guerrero.mp3,” dedicated to her father who watched from the audience. On the tenth and final night of her series of shows, Emilia premiered a live rendition of her latest collaboration “Perdonarte ¿Para Qué?” with Mexican group Los Ángeles Azules, which peaked at the #1 spot on Spotify’s Top Songs Argentina chart, and teased her upcoming song with QR code stickers for fans.

With a dazzling stage setup produced by Fenix Entertainment and extraordinary choreography featuring exceptional dancers and glamorous wardrobe changes, Emilia achieved a groundbreaking feat as the first artist who introduced a flying platform that crossed the Movistar Arena. Transporting her from the main stage to the secondary stage located at the other end of the bowl, Emilia‘s innovative star quality and massive stage presence continue to showcase her trailblazing status. Staying true to her signature under eye gems, Emilia also sported a variety of show-stopping Y2K looks, including exclusive designs from Poster Girl, Lado Bokuchava, Fanci Club and Defaience.

Emilia, in collaboration with Spotify EQUAL, sponsored 5 emerging artists to open for her Movistar shows, strengthening her commitment to national talent and the development of new rising stars. The guest artists represented a diverse range of genres including indie folk and pop: Connie IslaYami Safdie, Clara CavaMore Navarro and Malena Villa.

The “.mp3” tour previously included stops in Rosario, Córdoba, Salta, Mendoza, Paraguay and Uruguay and will now launch its summer leg in Spain and Mexico. Following an overwhelmingly positive response, Emilia has already added a second Mexico City date in August after selling out night one at Teatro Metropólitan. In a triumphant return to Buenos Aires, Emilia is later set to perform at the legendary Estadio Vélez Sarsfield in a series of back to back sold-out shows on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13. With over 65,000 tickets swiftly claimed by her devoted fans, this achievement marks another significant milestone for the Argentine superstar.
