LOS ANGELES (Feb. 24, 2021) – SQUARE ENIX® invites players to celebrate the first anniversary of the popular mobile adventure RPG, DRAGON QUEST® OF THE STARS™, with exciting new content and special in-game promotions. Players worldwide can look forward to several celebratory rewards and special limited-time events, including a new Giga-Battle Event, the new Stargod Equipment series and much more.
Players can enjoy the following limited-time events and promotions in game as a part of the celebration:
- 10,000 Gems Present – All players will be gifted 10,000 gems simply by logging in during the anniversary campaign period.
- Anniversary Log-in Bonus – Players who log in daily now through March 22 can receive a total of 4,000 gems.
- First Anniversary Giga-Battle Event – A new Giga-Battle Event is available until March 12 for players to face. In this special event, players will need to defeat six powerful bosses—which will trigger a final special boss to appear. Players can earn Evacuation Points by taking on these battles, which can be used to excavate various exciting rewards.
- New Vocations – The Gladiator and Astronomer Specialist Vocations are now available in game. The Gladiator is an attacker who can dish out exceptional physical attacks and is resilient against enemy hits. The Astronomer, meanwhile, is an all-purpose spellcaster with a high Magic Attack and excellent healing capabilities.
- Anniversary Lucky Chest Draws – Players can attempt to draw the powerful and rare Stargod Equipment, including Stargod’s Staff, Stargod’s Cannon and Stargod’s Whip, now until March 6. During this event, each 10-Lucky Chest Draw becomes an 11-Lucky Chest Draw and will include two guaranteed pieces of five-star Equipment.
- Rubiss Equipment Lucky Chest Draw and Awakening – From March 1 to March 8, players can attempt to draw the popular Rubiss Equipment from a special Lucky Chest. Additionally, players can now awaken their Rubiss Equipment to make these items even more powerful than before.
- First Anniversary Commemoration CP (Zenithian Equipment / Metal Slime Equipment) – Two special Lucky Chests will be available for players to draw from, each guaranteeing one 5-star equipment in a 10-Draw. The first 10-Draw from both Lucky Chests will be a free for all players. The first Lucky Chest, available from February 26 until February 28, will feature Metal Slime Equipment. The second Lucky Chest, available from March 5 until March 7, will feature Zenithian Equipment.
- New Games – Two new games, “Slime Darts” and “Flappy Slime,” are available for players to try out in Squirril Station.
- Special Gem Sale – Three limited-time gem packs are available for purchase, now until March 9. Each pack is available at a special anniversary discount.

In DRAGON QUEST OF THE STARS, players embark on an intergalactic journey to prevent the destruction of entire planets and worlds. Players can create their very own custom character, featuring artwork and design from the illustrious manga artist Akira Toriyama. Participate in multiplayer modes with up to three other players or embark on a solo-mode adventure. Players will battle against classic DRAGON QUEST series monsters by using touch controls to strategically utilize skills.
