{NEW YORK, New York} – DiverseToons, a company devoted to cultivating diversity behind the scenes of animation, will be attending Comic-Con@Home 2021. It will be a virtual event presented by Comic-Con International and will be held July 23 to the 25th.

DiverseToons is honored to be attending Comic-Con@Home this year to showcase diversity in animation and connect with like-minded individuals in the world of media. Bringing to you our panel: The Indie Life. Featuring Joshua Leonard (Creator of Team Supreme), Shammah McVay (Associate Producer of Enongo), Ruel Smith (Director of Captain’s Call). These artists will discuss the highs, lows, and everything in between when it comes to creating and completing your own animated or VFX IP. Moderated by Monique Henry-Hudson (Production Coordinator at Netflix Animation and Co-Founder of DiverseToons).

“Since the pandemic, we’ve had to transition from having our educational panels at schools, colleges, and conferences to all virtual,” says Jade Seabarry, Co-Founder of DiverseToons. Comic-Con will be virtual due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was made in the interest of public safety.

DiverseToons is an educational foundation run by Monique Henry-Hudson and Jade Seaberry, dedicated to highlighting diversity and its importance in the Animation industry. Our mission is to help our community navigate through their own career paths, share insights from people in the industry, and create a larger network of diverse animators.
