Tooria, has today announced the release of her debut single Memories, which will be available to download and stream across all mainstream digital platforms from 15th October 2021. This is the first track from Tooria’s upcoming album, which is rumoured to be out for release by the end of 2021.

Continuing her illustrious career, Tooria – who has previously worked internationally as a jazz singer, with renowned troupe The Satin Dollz, and Britain’s Got Talent Finalists, The Jive Aces – is preparing to make her debut as an independent pop artist. The young songstress has collaborated with local singer-songwriter-turned-producer, Will Newman, who has achieved global coverage and acknowledgement for his own original music.

Tooria wrote Memories by way of tribute to her late grandfather, who tragically succumbed to Covid-19 earlier this year. Gone, but never forgotten, Tooria drew inspiration from the depths of her grief and loss. The lyrics emerged as a reflection of treasured memories, love, and the things she cherished most about her relationship with her grandad. The resulting track is a moving and memorable pop song, a guaranteed tear-jerker. The single would not be out of place on a movie soundtrack or synced to the season finale of a TV series.

“My grandad was my superhero,” commented Tooria. “He was always there to pick me up when I was feeling down and was my biggest cheerleader when it came to chasing my dreams. I will always miss him as much as I do now, and I hope he’s listening to me singing his song – wherever he is – with a smile on his face. I hope he’s proud of me.”

Tooria continued, “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Will as my producer and am excited to finally release a taste of what is to come in the next few months.”

Singer-songwriter, Tooria, brings a unique blend of pop, which she gives a new dimension with her soulful yet jazzy vocal styling. Expect heavy influences from London Grammar, Lana Del Rey, John Mayer, LANY and Honne.

Memories is available for pre-save, here.
