About Halston Dare
- Born in Houston, Texas of Cuban America heritage
- Her singing was influenced by her father who grew up singing and touring the US with a barbershop quartet group.
- As a child, she grew up listening to classic 70s, 80s and 90s music from the likes of Patti Labelle, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Donna Summer and Whitney Houston
- Began writing poetry at age 11 and songwriting at age 13
