Dallas multi-hyphenate artist Jayson Lyric unveils the official music video for his empowering single “Self Love,” directed by Andre LaDon.  Watch the music video HERE.

Over a lush, guitar-laced production Jayson delivers a poignant message of self-worth with soaring vocals from R&B songstress Nevaeh. The introspective track has accumulated over 1 million streams since its release and earned organic support from the likes of Jazmine Sullivan, Meagan Good, La La Anthony and more. The single’s breakout success landed him a distribution deal with Warner Music imprint Asylum Records, in partnership with his own label NHouse Republic. “Self Love” is lifted from Jayson’s luminous 6-track EP Outer Body Experience, the project encompasses vivid storytelling, soulful melodies, and thought-provoking rhymes.

“There is an epidemic of low self-worth, mostly because of things depicted on social platforms and within the media,” shares Jayson. “This record is about learning to appreciate yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I want people to understand loving yourself is not selfish and we all need positive daily routines to connect with our inner self.” Stream “Self Love” on all platforms HERE.

Born in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Jayson Lyric is a seasoned rapper, producer, songwriter and entrepreneur. A vessel of profound lyrical content, Jayson is one of top Hip-Hop artists in North Texas working to rebuild the city of Dallas, which is not typically synonymous with the rap genre. Jayson has perfected his unique style of artistry where the songwriting, vocals and instrumentals all work in unison. His delivery is versatile, allowing him to transition into rapid verbal assault mode when needed.

The organic nature of his music can be attributed to most of his beats being crafted via his own production team, NHouse Productions, or with long-time collaborators Oktober1st and KGray. Collectively, they’ve created a sound that seamlessly blends elements of hardcore trap, conscious rap, R&B, and the influence of gospel music. In 2015, he started his Brick X Brick series, a collective of four projects with the latest being Brick 4 released in 2020. The series helped to establish him as a formidable brand within the competitive market of Dallas Hip-Hop artists. Additionally, he’s released 3 albums – Lyric Show (2016), Billy GOAT (2017) and Cashmere Don (2019) and 2 EP’s, Outer Body Experience (2021) and Cliff Notes (2021).
