We had the opportunity to receive a digital code for the new game Crossy Road Castle. I was able to redeem the code on our Nintendo Switch and booted up the game to some fun fanfare. I’m a big fan of Crossy Road and used to play it on my phone back in the day. I’m glad they made the jump to the Nintendo Switch to include more levels, accessories, and more for fans of the genre. I like the simplicity in the game as your given basic controls and that’s how it should be for this type of games.
My son and I were taking turns trying to clear the towers in the game. My son was excited to learn you can collect a TON of hats during the game for your characters. My son is a big fan of hats, mostly baseball team hats, but hats where it blocks the sun from his eyes are his favorites. During the game, your able to get those hats for you characters as well as collect them too! Crossy Road Castle wasn’t too hard to play, there were at times though, the levels can get a big harder and will use your hearts but I was able to figure it out to continue on in the game.
A fun and exciting game for the whole family!

- You can collect so many hats in this game! I felt like I was Oprah saying: “You get a Hat, I get a Hat, Everyone gets a hat!” I know my son loves to collect hats so this is a welcome addiction for him in the game.
- Simple Controls
- The controls are quite simple which makes it fantastic for Crossy Road Castle. I just run, jump, and that is about it. I’m able to go through various towers doing those simple moves.
