Crema Graphic Novel Review

A fantastic voyage into love, ghosts, romance and of course coffee, Crema brings you to a world just of that. You watch as the story unfolds with Esme’s love of coffee and many tormented talks with ghosts. She can see the ghosts after a few dozen cups of coffee which provide some good conversations with them as well. Esme’s world is turned upside down when her job, as a barista, brings her to the beautiful owner Yara. Esme’s is inflamed with Yara and begins a romance that will change her life.

I enjoyed reading this comic as the story was very well written. The story kept me on hook as I daydreamed while reading the story of Esme and Yara. You root for their success throughout the story, but my imagination goes wild as you see the contributing factors in the story such as additional ghosts and the story of her grandmother’s lost love. The art is well done in this novel; I liked how the art told its own story when words were not needed. Over all, this is a good graphic novel with a story that makes you feel that your inside a coffee shop with the sounds and taste of ground up coffee beans. Your imagination takes you on a course of hot water and sweet tasting cream while reading this story.
