Cozmic unveils new single titled Surface featuring Natasha Slayton! Fresh from the field, you are greeted with a song that transcends the speakers. Cozmic’s new song explains trust issues with your significant other with fear that you maybe gone the next day because of simple imperfections. People outside the relationship may view those imperfections, but to those individuals trying to be together, those imperfections are just another step in the direction of conquering fear. I enjoyed this song as the lyrics are right on the money and Natasha Slayton brings that additional edge with her singing. I see this song as something you would hear on the radio soon!

A cinematic fall relationship anthem, catchy banger “Surface” delivers emotional dueting vocals and earworm hooks atop a vibey, ambient and textured indie-pop production. The melodic, mid-tempo track gracefully plays in multiple genres from Indie Pop to Pop RnB. The song’s powerful vocal delivery, lyrics and production would appeal to fans of artists like: Halsey, Demi Lovato, and Lauv. The track was produced by an all-star creative team including Chris Garcia (Lana Del Rey, Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa) and Refugee (Illenium, Xuitecasecity).

It’s a song about that scary feeling of wearing your heart on your sleeve because it’s been broken before. And the support of a partner who wants to work through that fear with you no matter what. It’s about the beauty and power of accepting your partner’s imperfections… and your own, together.

“I can tell that you’re something different

Beneath your scars is what I’ve been missing

So take your chances on me

I wanna understand your mysteries

So you can let your guard now

Cause I’m here to listen”

Cozmic and Natasha Slayton will perform the song live on November 7th at the first Virtual Yoga Remix, attend for free: https://www.cozmicmusic.com/attend-yoga-remix-2020.

Venice Beach, California-based indie-pop artist is on a quest to mine a new strain of pop music. His genre-defying sensibility delivers as fresh, hooky and anthemic electro-pop that embraces the musicality of everything from 2020 urban pop to 90s and early 2000s emo, indie and trap.

Within a month of his debut single’s release, “Back By My Side,” Cozmic accumulated over 500,000+ streams and earned glowing reviews. Singing & performing since she was four, her career highlights include opening the first-ever iHeart Music Awards with Pitbull, and performing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Born and raised in Los Angeles to a comedian/actor father and a clothing designer mother, it’s no surprise that Natasha caught the creative bug at a young age.
