Copshop Film Review

Copshop is an action film by Joe Carnahan starring Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo. Is an action-packed film where a conman on the run from a hitman is sent to kill him. Put a young cop in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Teddy (Frank Grillo) finds himself in a domestic dispute outside of a casino it was the perfect chance to get himself caught and taken to what he hopes is safety. Punching out a young cop he gets locked up only to be found very quickly.

Set up for a very dangerous scenario for everyone at the police station and with a crooked cop thrown in the mix. Bob (Gerard Butler) getting himself also caught and put in the same police station where his target is. Lighting the fuse to an action-filled time bomb of backstabbing and deceit.

A psychopath’s second hitman named Lamb enters the game with bloodshed out the gate. Valerie (Alexis Louder) the young cop wounded and in a fight for her life must make the hard choice to trust one of the two Bob or Teddy. Who she picks will either save her or backstab her.

This film is a wild ride and filled to the max with action and classic cop movie vibes. This one gave the vibe in a small way of Assault on Precinct 13 and who can Valerie trust. I give this one a solid 8 out of 10 for that fast-paced action cop film. The story is well done and Lamb added that over-the-top madman killer that you want to see get smoked checked. I would of like to know a bit more about the backstory of the crooked cop in the film. Be sure to get your hands on this out now on Bluray and Digital.
