Compete on a Galactic Stage in Turn-Based PvP Combat as Infinity: HexaDome Tactics Launches Closed Beta

MONTRÉAL, Canada – Oct. 21, 2024 – Infinity: HexaDome Tactics, a 1v1 turn-based tactical combat game from the industry veterans at developer and publisher Blindspot Games, invites new contestants to battle for glory on PC via Steam with today’s launch of Closed Beta #4. Join the beta running until Monday, Oct. 28th, by requesting access on Steam.

After cutting their teeth at Ubisoft and Cyanide on beloved games like Rainbow Six Siege, Roller Champions, and Blood Bowl, the Blindspot Games team knew precisely what they wanted to make first. Based on the Aristeia! board game set in Corvus Belli’s popular Infinity Universe, HexaDome Tactics combines strategic action and extravagant showmanship.

Warriors around the universe mercilessly compete in the galaxy’s most popular entertainment program. Battle champions for fame, fortune, and fervent fans. Enter the arena as a cast of 12 distinct heroes (with 20 more to come), from animal-human hybrids to synthetic samurai. Form a squad of four, choosing an optimal blend of Support, Melee, Control, and Range classes.

Strategically position fighters and create synergies between champions and their abilities. Level up skills and unlock ultimate attacks to smite opponents and achieve victory by dominating scoring zones. Flit across the arena and bunker down with a dynamic cover system. Hype the crowd to gain more followers, earn more sponsorships, and rise to the top of the leaderboards.

Simple to grasp but satisfying to master, each champion has their own playstyle and techniques, making each match a mental duel of strategic depth. Complete tournaments and daily/semi-weekly challenges to earn rewards like titles, avatars, backgrounds, and more.

This Closed Beta introduces two new characters: Wild Bill, an anachronistic gunslinging card shark, and Parvati, a synthetic healer who earned international celeb status in the HexaDome. Prefer gorier gladiator battles? Turn on the new blood effect!

Two new game modes have also been included, Duel and Challenges. Create a custom 1v1 Duel lobby and go head-to-head with a friend. Brush up on skills in Challenge Mode with quick brain-teasing puzzles by engaging in specific bite-sized situations to better familiarize oneself with champion abilities and game mechanics, solo, or while waiting in match queues.

Additional Closed Beta improvements include gameplay streamlining to keep the focus on fun. Champions now play once per round and select where they’ll start in the Timeline. Active Scoring Zones now light up for everyone to see. Sponsor tactics are now unlocked right away, and capturing them simply requires walking over their tiles. RNG has received a tuning pass, resulting in fairer fights.

“We’re very excited to show how far Infinity: HexaDome Tactics has come along since its original conception back in 2020,” said Blindspot Games Co-Founder Aurélien Simoni. “After years of prototyping, testing, and securing funding, we’re excited to debut our latest build during this week’s closed beta and can’t wait for 1.0 to release next year.”

Infinity: HexaDome Tactics is coming to PC via Steam in 2025 and will support English and French languages, with more to come.
