NEW YORK (Feb. 4, 2025) Música Mexicana powerhouse Código FN continues to make history with their participation in the launch of rising star Alfonso Muñoz’s career, collaborating on his powerful new corrido, “Ya Fuí Negro Ya Fuí Blanco.” This milestone release marks Muñoz as the first artist signed under Código FN’s record label, Al Millón Music, a significant step in the label’s evolving journey. The collaboration began when the song gained traction and started trending on TikTok, sparking interest and setting the stage for the partnership. As the first collaboration between Código FN and Muñoz, the track embodies themes of ambition, resilience, and the wisdom gained through life’s highs and lows. “Ya Fui Negro Ya Fui Blanco” is more than just a song; it’s a powerful statement that solidifies both Muñoz’s position in the music scene and Código FN’s continued influence as trailblazers in música Mexicana. “Ya Fui Negro Ya Fui Blanco” is now available on all streaming platforms.

The music video for “Ya Fui Negro Ya Fui Blanco” brings the song’s message to life through powerful symbolism, capturing the contrast between past and present, light and darkness and the journey of self-discovery. Alfonso Muñoz appears as both a child and an adult, representing growth and self-reflection, while a chess game between him and Tito (Ernesto León) serves as a metaphor for the strategic moves and sacrifices required to navigate life’s complexities. Striking black-and-white contrasts reinforce these themes throughout the video, including white outfits inside a black car, a pristine white sculpture splattered with black paint, the band dressed in black with white instruments, a lone black horse and the presence of an angel in all white. These visuals mirror the song’s message that success and hardship, light and darkness, are inseparable forces shaping one’s destiny, making “Ya Fui Negro Ya Fui Blanco” not just a song but a deeply symbolic narrative of resilience and ambition.

In 2024, Código FN solidified their status as pioneers in música Mexicana with a series of impactful releases, including their eagerly awaited collaboration “No Fui Yo” with Sabino and a high-energy live rendition of “Si Me Sueñas,” which infused new intensity into the classic track, further cementing their enduring influence in the global music scene. The band also dropped standout hits like “Que Dolor,” “Lo Logré” with Tony Aguirre, “Puñetas Mentales” with El Frizian, “Los Consejos” featuring El Coyote y Su Banda Tierra Santa, and “Vice City” with Adriel Favela, all leading up to the release of XV Recargado, their eighth studio album celebrating 15 years in the industry. Reflecting on their almost two-decade journey, Código FN continues to break new ground. Recently, the band made an appearance at Deorro’s “Deorro & Friends” Benefit Show, raising over $100,000 for the LAFD and organizations dedicated to helping those affected by the recent fires in LA. Known for their electrifying live performances in cities such as Mazatlán and Houston, as well as their unforgettable set at Festival Arre in Mexico City in September 2024, the band is now gearing up for two major shows, first on February 22 at Foro Villista in Parral, Chihuahua, and then on March 15 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA. With over 6.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, Código FN remains an unstoppable force in música Mexicana, thriving with unparalleled success and momentum.
