CHILLI JESSON TOURING WITH FONTAINES D.C. ON THE ARCTIC MONKEYS TOUR

Chilli Jesson, the darkly-comedic, truth-telling, burgeoning sensation, once a member of the indie darling group Palma Violets, is no newcomer to live performances. However, starting tonight he’ll be playing some of the largest venues in the U.S, joining Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. as the group’s bass player for their shows opening for Arctic Monkeys. Chilli is now a solo recording artist – signed to Fiction Records – and recently released an acclaimed EP, Carolina Reaper, with a title track igniting sports arenas around the country due to its popularity on the NHL 23 soundtrack.

During his time in beloved Rough Trade Records band Palma Violets, Chilli wrote their hit “Best of Friends.” So much more than just an indie banger, it was essentially the perfect pop song: gutsy, joyous and unforgettable. The post-Palma Violets version of Chilli Jesson has a similar joie de vivre – certainly performative and certainly playing the game, but he is simultaneously self-aware, unashamedly honest, and happily exposes his own vulnerabilities at the core of his songs.

As he winds his way around the country over the next couple of months, let us know if you’d like to get any time with Chilli to discuss his fast rising solo career!
