NASHVILLE, Tenn. — CCB Nashville introduces the latest recording from its flagship act Cash Creek. The band will release “Hard Time”* featuring a special vocal performance by Larry Stewart (former lead singer of Restless Heart). The trio’s fourth release since its reformation in 2012, the “Hard Time” (Radio Mix) will be distributed to country radio on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 (PlayMPE) and available via all digital retail and streaming platforms (Amazon/Apple Music/iTunes/ Pandora/Spotify/Tidal) on Friday, August 6. (Radio Promotion spearheaded by Jennifer Blair/Distribution by CD Baby).

With a genuine admiration for modern country of yesterday, Cash Creek demonstrates its appreciation for Restless Heart as 80s country music trendsetters and hitmakers. Produced by Cash Creek Band lead singer Kimo Forrest, the remix recreates the magic of the original tune (written by Stewart, Tim DuBois and Mike Noble) as featured on the Restless Heart WHEELS album which boasted four No. 1 hits. Reminiscent of classics, the recording recalls renowned vocal groups (Restless Heart/Eagles/Pure Prairie League) enriched by drums, keys and harmony electric guitars. Cash Creek Band members [Kimo Forrest (Vocals/Guitar/Keys), James Blaylock (Drums) and Monty Devita (Vocals/Bass)] perform on the track.

“When Kimo told me Cash Creek was cutting ‘Hard Time,’ I smiled big,” said Larry Stewart. “While a fan favorite ‘by request’ at our shows, it was never a spotlight track; so to put it in the forefront as a fresh new and contemporary recording, and single, is a thrill. I look forward to rocking it with this band in live performances.”

“This is a ‘pinch me’ moment for all of us in the band,” added Cash Creek lead singer and producer Kimo Forrest.“We have been Restless Heart fans since the release of their first self-titled EP. Their incredible harmony vocals, quality musicianship and award-winning songs have been a benchmark for Cash Creek. Having Larry join us on our re-recording is truly a dream come true and a highlight of our career.”

Cash Creek will host a special listening party as part of its Cash Creek Club Live grand opening to be held at the Nashville Palace on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 7pm. Larry Stewart, Mark Wills, Megan Mullins, RT Johnson and The Rollers among others are slated to perform.

ABOUT CASH CREEK
Cash Creek is a band of friends made up of Kimo Forrest (lead vocals/guitars/keyboards), Monty DeVita (bass/vocals) and Jim Blaylock (vocals/drums).

The Early Years
A group of local teenagers with big dreams and a big love for country music, the trio initially formed as “Silver Creek.” The young aspiring musicians cut their teeth performing at 4-H and FFA dances in the hills of rural Northern California.

Following some growing pains, with various personnel and band name changes, Silver Creek grew to become a regional phenomenon, playing gigs in front of thousands at clubs, fairs and festivals throughout the western United States.

Capturing the attention of Nashville music makers, Silver Creek showcased before a list of top A & R reps; and while an exciting experience, the opportunity ultimately lent to the band’s demise.
In the background, former bandmates, and two of his dearest friends, bassist, Monty DeVita, and drummer, Jim Blaylock, showcased their talents on demos. Their collaborations and cumulative works led them to reunite and revive their dream—reuniting as Cash Creek.
Today
Cash Creek is a unique blending of big vocals and big guitars, complemented by healthy doses of fiddle and mandolin as an add-in for good measure. With the goal to produce high-caliber recordings, Cash Creek has a distinctive sound that spotlights hooks to drive audiences to listen over and over again.

ABOUT LARRY STEWART
When Larry Stewart first moved to Nashville, he had his share of menial Music Row jobs, from a stock clerk at the Country Music Hall of Fame and mowing grass at BMI to running tape copies at MCA Music. It was while working at MCA though that longtime family friend Jerry Crutchfield coaxed Stewart into singing a few demos for his brother Jan. The word quickly spread about the young man with a voice that mixed strength and intimacy with an honest raggedness that made him real. Suddenly, Stewart was an in-demand demo singer, and it wasn’t long until destiny came knocking in the form of Tim DuBois who was putting together a band called Restless Heart. To date, Restless Heart is one of the most successful groups in country music history. The band has placed over 25 singles on the charts with six consecutive #1 hits, recorded four albums certified Gold by the RIAA and have won a wide range of awards including the Academy of Country Music’s “Top Vocal Group.” Today, Stewart tours regularly with The Frontmen of Country — consisting of Stewart, Richie McDonald (formerly of Lonestar), and Tim Rushlow (formerly of Little Texas).
