São Paulo, Brazil/Nashville, Tenn. (June 30, 2026) — Brazilian singer-songwriter Gustavo Mioto is introducing a new side of his artistry with the release of “Last Goodbye,” his debut English-language single available now on all streaming platforms. Written during an extended creative stay in Nashville, the song marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for Mioto as he expands his career into the global country music marketplace. Listen to “Last Goodbye” and watch the official music video, HERE.

A favorite among music fans in Brazil, Mioto has cultivated an audience of more than 12 million followers across his platforms and over seven million monthly listeners on Spotify while building a reputation as one of his country’s most respected artists.

Now, after spending months immersed in Nashville’s songwriting community and collaborating with some of Music City’s most accomplished writers, including Daniel Ross, Casey Brown, Michael Tyler, Seth Moseley, George Birge, Ned Cameron, Gabe Simon and Beau Bailey, he is bringing his love of Country music and storytelling to an international audience.

“I have always been a fan of Country music, but there was one specific day that changed the entire trajectory of my life. I was watching TV and caught the CMT Crossroads episode with Keith Urban and John Mayer. It absolutely blew my mind. In that moment, everything clicked. I saw how you could combine the melancholic soul of John Mayer with the Country-rock energy of Keith Urban. It was the perfect blend of emotional depth and rockstar performance. That exact collaboration is the reason I picked up the guitar and started to play,” says Mioto.

“Since that day, my connection to country music became personal. It led me to visit Nashville for the first time about ten years ago, and I instantly fell in love with the city, the culture, and the people. Being there made me realize that this music isn’t just something I listen to—it’s exactly who I am as an artist”

Blending contemporary country influences heartfelt lyricism; “Last Goodbye” reflects the storytelling and emotional connection that first drew Mioto to the genre. The release has already generated strong momentum, surpassing 1 million Spotify streams within its first month.

“Look, ‘Last Goodbye’ has been doing big things back home in Brazil, and honestly, I’m just so proud of how folks have wrapped their arms around it. Brazilians are warm, passionate people…we live for a good story, especially when it’s a real tear-jerker. But the thing is, heartbreak doesn’t need a passport. It’s the one language the whole wide world speaks fluently,” he adds.

Signed to Universal Music, in partnership with MCA, with international representation by WME, Mioto has spent more than a decade developing a career that has earned him widespread acclaim, multiple chart successes, and a devoted fan base throughout Brazil and beyond. While deeply rooted in his Brazilian heritage, he is among a growing group of international artists embracing Nashville’s songwriting tradition and helping introduce country music to audiences around the world.

“Gustavo Mioto represents a new generation of global artists—talents who can honor their local roots while speaking to audiences everywhere. His move into English-language country music reflects both his artistic ambition and the increasingly borderless nature of today’s music industry. We are thrilled to partner with Gustavo, MCA Nashville, and WME as he continues to build meaningful connections with fans around the world through exceptional songwriting and authentic storytelling,” says Paulo Lima, President, Universal Music Brazil.
Ami Brown, Vice President, International Marketing, MCA, says, “Gustavo’s passion for country music is unmistakable. Rather than simply recording an English-language project, he immersed himself in Nashville’s songwriting community, collaborated with some of our city’s incredible creatives, and took the time to understand the culture and storytelling that define the genre. ‘Last Goodbye’ is just the beginning. We’re excited to help introduce Gustavo to country audiences around the world and continue building a bridge between Nashville and one of the most vibrant music markets in the world.”
“Coming from Brazil, where Gustavo has played for over a million fans at a single Carnival show and performs more than 200 dates a year, starting from the ground up in North America is a testament to his dedication. Building a lasting, global career requires a solid foundation, that’s why he spent months immersed in the Nashville songwriting community collaborating with some of Music City’s most accomplished writers. The momentum behind his debut English-language country single ‘Last Goodbye’—which earned over 1 million streams in its first month—gives us a fantastic starting point for this exciting next chapter,” shares WME’s Nate Towne. “We are focused on building a bridge between his international audiences, one song and one show at a time.”

Born in Votuporanga, São Paulo, Mioto began playing guitar at six years old and wrote his first song at age 10. By 13, he was already performing professionally and building the foundation for a career that would eventually include nine albums and three live DVD projects.

Growing up as the son of Marcos Mioto, one of Brazil’s leading concert promoters, music was always a part of his life. Before pursuing it full-time, he worked at a gas station while continuing to hone his craft. Beyond music, Mioto is a multi-instrumentalist, avid gamer, Twitch streamer, and creator of the popular “MiotoSessions” social media series, where he performs acoustic interpretations of both his own songs and fan-favorite hits from a variety of genres.

With “Last Goodbye,” Mioto continues to build a bridge between Brazil’s vibrant music culture and Nashville’s renowned songwriting community, creating a sound that feels both globally inspired and unmistakably personal.
