LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Boston Uprising announced today the acquisition of Do-hyung “Stellar” Lee. Stellar, 21, last competed for the Toronto Defiant during the Stage 1 Playoffs, where the Defiant fell to the San Francisco Shock. Stellar retired following the loss, but joins the Uprising in an effort to increase their offensive output with his signature Tracer.

Lee hails from South Korea and broke into professional esports with O2 Ardeont, where his team placed second in the Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 1 finals. Stellar signed with the Toronto Defiant prior to Season 2 of the Overwatch League began, and is welcomed by the Uprising as Stage 3 continues.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Do-hyung ‘Stellar’ Lee to the Uprising,” said Chris “HuK” Loranger, President of Gaming for the Kraft Group. “Stellar will be a key part of the team moving forward – we are excited to have him around.”

The Uprising will begin Stage 4 against the Guangzhou Charge on July 27 at 4:45 PM Eastern Time. The team is currently one game outside the cutoff for the OWL postseason play-in tournament and can qualify with a strong Stage 4.
