BOSTON UPRISING ANNOUNCE SEMIFINAL MATCHUPS FOR SPRING COLLEGIATE CUP

Final rounds feature defending champion Northeastern, UMass Amherst, Boston University and Emerson

 

   BOSTON – The Boston Uprising announced today the semifinal matchups for the championship rounds of the spring Collegiate Cup taking place beginning at 12 p.m. April 28 at the Back Bay Events Center.

The first semifinal match will feature Northeastern A vs. University of Massachusetts Amherst and will start at 12 p.m. The other semifinal will begin 15 minutes after the conclusion of the first semifinal and feature Boston University vs. Emerson A. The two winning teams will then battle for the Collegiate Cup in a championship match slated to begin 15 minutes after the conclusion of the second semifinal.

The live championship round matches are free and open to the public and tickets are available via Eventbrite. The event will also be streamed live on the Uprising’s Twitch channel beginning at 12 p.m. Eastern time. The winning team will earn a trip to the Blizzard Arena in Burbank, Calif.  to see the Uprising compete during the 2019 season.

This Collegiate Cup is the second such event hosted by the Uprising after Northeastern University won the inaugural event in December 2018.
