BOSTON UPRISING ANNOUNCE DEPARTURE OF THOMAS “BRUSSEN” BRUSSEN

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Boston Uprising announced today the departure of Thomas “brussen” Brussen as he retires from competitive Overwatch.

“We thank brussen for his contributions as he stepped up midseason,” said Chris “HuK” Loranger, President of Gaming for the Uprising. “We respect his decision to depart from competitive Overwatch and wish him the best in his retirement.”

brussen, 19, joined the Boston Uprising in November 2019 after helping Team Netherlands reach the top six in the 2019 Overwatch World Cup. In 2018 and 2019, he competed with multiple teams in the European region of Overwatch Contenders. The off-tank player is the first and only Dutch player to reach the Overwatch League.

The Uprising’s season will continue this weekend, as they play against the Los Angeles Gladiators at 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 16. The match will be streamed live on YouTube.
