Bess Chew, born and raised in Singapore, developed a passion for the performing arts from a young age, participating in musicals, drama, and choir. At 16, she moved to Perth, Australia, where she found a more freeing academic environment. Despite earning a degree in Psychology from the University of Western Australia, Bess Chew chose to follow her heart and pursue music full-time. After completing a songwriting and production diploma at SOMA in Singapore, she released her debut single “Getaway” in June 2024.
