Batman: The Long Halloween Part One Blu Ray Review

As a life long Batman fan, I was excited to hear about the adaptation for Batman: The Long Halloween! I was very giddy to hear that this was coming out from Warner Animation and DC! One thing that caught my eye was the pick of Batman who is Jensen Ackles of Supernatural fame. I’m a big Supernatural fan but could Jenson fill Batman’s shoes? Can he wield that cape? Can he fight for good?

Well today, I was able to watch Batman: The Long Halloween Part One and I have to say WOW! I never imagined the story would be adapted so well, I even felt compelled to put on captions to read along like it was a comic book. Jensen is BATMAN! Enough Said! I’m not gonna spoil much of the movie as I know comic fans already have read the story but for others, I’m not. On June 22nd, get your remote and order this movie on your streaming service. Then afterword’s, hit up Amazon and get this movie! Your gonna enjoy it hard!

Here is the review:

Pro:

  • Jensen Ackles as Batman
    • The Jury is out! Jensen as Batman is a freaking hit! He has that voice that can be dark, raspy and low that you feel that should be coming out from a caped crusader. Throughout the movie, I was astonished on how real Batman became with the voice of Jensen. He hooked me hard as Batman!
  • Story
    • I don’t want to spoil much as I know many people haven’t read the comics from that storyline yet but the story falls in line with the comics. You are taken on a rollercoaster of different and unique situations that comes up for Batman, Harvey Dent and of course Commis ahem Captain Gordan. The story flow was good and provided a lot of characters to shine in this movie.
  • Animation
    • The animation for the movie was superb as the animators and artists did a very good job on our beloved characters. One thing that was awesome is how the snow was falling in different parts of the movie that you felt like it was so real. I enjoyed that very much!
