Time to close the chapter on what has been an odd year, by celebrating the most creative and popular mods as voted by the community. Our favorite moments in 2020 include Command & Conquer Remastered injecting new life into a much loved franchise by modders, and seeing many 10 year old mods like Project Reality still getting major updates, so many years on. Each of the winners below deserve our praise, for pushing boundaries and making something amazing on top of the games that they modded, giving us so many reasons to keep playing and exploring new content.

This year saw many compelling entries (if you haven’t already we recommend you explore the top 100 nominees), but in the end it was Age of the Ring that took out 1st place, followed closely by the popular Mental Omega and Project Reality: Battlefield 2 taking out 2nd and 3rd respectively. The final Top 10 includes:

  1. Age of the Ring
  2. Mental Omega
  3. Project Reality: Battlefield 2
  4. Divide and Conquer
  5. Black Mesa: Azure Sheep
  6. Expanding Fronts
  7. Unification Mod – DoW: SoulStorm
  8. Total War: Rise of Mordor
  9. Arcane Dimensions
  10. Half Life 2: Raising the Bar Redux

Congratulations to the winners for making incredible mods for us to enjoy, and thanks for your support in helping us generate buzz and promotion for this event each year. Here are the winner announcements for any coverage you would like to prepare for the final results:
