Artifice: War Tactics is a turn-based strategy roguelike game with a unique asymmetric combat system. In this game, enemies set up attack zones, while your champions can actively evade and disrupt their strategy using their traits, abilities, or items.
I was able to get a digital Steam key to review Artifice: War Tactics on my gaming laptop. Artifice downloaded quite quick to my laptop and installed with ease. Once done with installation, I was able to play the game. Artifice: War Tactics is like chess with units that have unique attack patterns and movements. You would need to put your thinking cap on prior to making the moves so you can try and win. I had times where I felt I was in the zone with my moves. This would lead to some clever combos I would do against my opponent that featured some epic art scenes in the game. I was pretty stoked on that and gave me hope that I can demolish my opponents in a glory filled fashion!

Pro:
- Clever Combos
- Man the art showcased when your doing combos is insane! The artists did an amazing job creating something so creative and colorful for the combo scenes. I enjoyed that greatly because it felt that the choices you made throughout the game was very satisfying.
- Strategic Thinking
- The strategic thinking involved in Artifice is quite outstanding. I really had to put on my thinking cap and take my time throughout the game. My opponents were quite strong against me even in the beginning stage where I felt it would give me an advantage. I would have to think of every step before I would make my move which was satisfying when I’m winning haha.
