Argentine-American pop star and beloved actress, Maia Reficco releases “Tanto Calor,” an infectious, youthful and provocative single. Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo, producers of the iconic worldwide hit, “Despacito,” joined forces to work on this new song that promises to be a new summer hit!
During her new stage as a successful solo artist, Maia has decided to perform in Spanish, honoring the native language of her parents and her Latino identity. As a young woman, she unleashes the sounds that have been seeping into her creative process, while introducing her own style of writing: soulful and powerful with a touch of a sensual twist.
The music video evokes the aesthetics of the 70’s and the euphoria of that time towards female empowerment, in which women play a leading role.
“Working with Andrés and Mauricio was simply amazing in all aspects.
I am very grateful that they wanted to participate in this project,”
says Maia.
This past April, the artist wrapped filming the feature film “Kally’s Mashup, ¡Un Cumpleaños muy Kally!,” a movie based on the Nickelodeon series, which will premiere this year on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. The upcoming release was shot in Bogotá, Colombia and was written by Peter Barsocchini, creator of the High School Musical franchise, and and renowned producer Adam Anders, who worked on Glee (2009-2015), The Prom (2020) and Road to Bethlehem (2021).
In 2020 Maia was named the second most important macro-influencer on TikTok Argentina. She was also highlighted in the platform’s trends and sounds tab with #tuyachallange, one of the hashtags of the week in Latin America that reached more than half a million shares in just three weeks.
