NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Blue Hill Records’ flagship recording artist, Eric Lee, celebrates the release of his brand new single, “Out Here In The Yard.”*  Spotlighting an easy-does-it-hang and solo guitar licks inspired by Lee’s heroes, Brad Paisley and Joe Walsh, the tune is AVAILABLE NOW via all digital retail and streaming platforms (Amazon/Apple Music/iTunes/ Pandora/Spotify/Tidal). Listen Here.
Penned by Lee, Tom Rhodes, and Asia Whiteacre, the self-produced track is an early introduction to Lee’s LP titled FOR WHO YOU ARE (due later this year) and features the talents of six-time Grammy winner Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton/Jack White) and Grammy-winning engineer, Pete Lyman. (Powell mixed; Lyman mastered the track.) The storyline paints the picture of a beloved, all-American pastime that is close to home; where the beer is cold, livin’ is easy, and the best things in life are free.
“I spent a lot of time ‘Out Here In The Yard’ last year during COVID,” said the Florida-based singer/songwriter, Eric Lee. “The time allowed me to enjoy the simple things, like just hanging out, having fun, livin’ free, and lettin’ loose after a hard day’s work. The single art–an idea sparked by my lovely wife–while may seemingly be kitschy, depicts the fun-loving, light-hearted spirit of the song.”
“But out here in the yard
We don’t work too hard
We don’t need tv
We got the moon and stars
We got the kegerator full of PBR
I can do what I want
In my own damn yard”
The new release follows the momentum of Lee’s earlier introduction with “Same Dirt Road” which enjoyed early exponential success enjoying placement on seven Spotify Country Editorial Playlists [including New Boots, Wild Country (No. 2), Breakout Country (No. 2), Next From Nashville (Top 5), New Music Nashville, Fresh Finds Country (No. 4) and Heartland Country]. To date, “Same Dirt Road” is approaching top 40 on the MusicRow Breakout Chart and has garnered 5 Million streams across all platforms.
