Aero The Acro-Bat Xbox Series S Review

Aero The Acro-Bat Xbox Series S Review

Originally released in 1993, Aero the Acro-Bat is back to save the world of circus once again! The powerful and eccentric industrialist Edgar Ektor has sworn to destroy the world of amusement as revenge for being banished from the circus when he was a kid after one of his pranks went too far and almost killed a circus animal. He started by invading a local circus with his gang of mad clowns and kidnapping all the circus staff to spoil the show. Now it’s up to Aero the Acro-Bat, the circus’s star performer, to rescue his friends and girlfriend Ariel, and put a stop to Edgar Ektor’s mad plans so everyone can enjoy the show again!

We were able to get a digital review copy of Aero The Acro-Bat for our Xbox Series S console. The game downloaded pretty fast and we were able to start the game up real quick. With the retro feel and look, I was excited to see a game that I have played during my childhood has made a comeback! I was able to play the game as Aero and try and fulfill my objectives. I love the circus feel in the game as I had enjoyed that growing up as a child. Those circus feels brought back happy vibes of playing games until I feel asleep when I was growing up. I was able to beat Aero The Acro-Bat but it did take some time. The game can be challenging and would have to replay stages over and over until you can master it. Either way, a fun retro game to play and relax to today!

Our Thoughts

Pro:

  • Retro Feel
    • I love my retro games as they bring back happy vibes when I was a child growing up. Aero The Acro-Bat was able to bring those same feelings back on my TV screen. I was able to play the game in those same 8 bit stages and try to fulfil my objectives. With how technology is showcased today in gaming, it was good to be able to play a game that is reminds you of the 90’s.
  • Circus look
    • The circus look with wacky characters like clowns and more is something you don’t see much in gaming. With Aero, you are in that circus world with those stages that have details very specific to the circus. I enjoyed that deeply because as a child, you loved going to the circus and seeing all the wacky characters that are out to make you happy.

Con:

  • Can Be Challenging
    • One stage is challenging where I kept on losing during the game. It took a while for me to master that stage but I felt it can be a bit challenging at times.

Rating: 8 out of 10
