27th ANNUAL SAFILM-SAN ANTONIO FILM FESTIVAL HOSTS FREE HOLLYWOOD INDUSTRY PANELS FOR SAN ANTONIO MOVIE LOVERS

SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 30, 2021) The SAFILM-San Antonio Film Festival just announced TWO free educational panels helmed by Hollywood experts and industry veterans to be held FREE OF CHARGE for San Antonio film enthusiasts during the SAFILM Fest, live in person, August 5-8, at Radius Center, 106 Auditorium Circle, San Antonio.

INDUSTRY PANELS INCLUDE :

  • REEL TALK with Ya’Ke Smith & Bart Weiss  – Friday, August 6, 10:30am -12:30pm
    Two Texas film professors walk into a bar… (except it’s not a bar). Experience this film-fueled, interactive discussion from Ya’Ke Smith, named one of the best film educators in the world by Variety Magazine, & Bart Weiss, Founder/Director for 35 years for the Dallas VideoFest.
  • THE EDITORS CUT with Anne Goursaud + Michael Jablow –  Saturday August 7, 10:30am -12:30pm
    Go behind-the-scenes with two of Hollywood’s greatest film editors in a one-on-one conversation about the life & times inside the cutting room. Featuring exclusive clips and stories from their notable films, like Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders and Bram Stoker’s Dracula, plus, Old School, Throw Momma from the Train, Boomerang, Can’t Hardly Wait, Ironweed & more!

 

SAFILM has also added a SATURDAY NIGHT Texas Premiere to the schedule with the feature film, MILLENNIUM BUGS by Texas-born Writer/Director Alejandro Montoya Marin at 6:00pm, including a 90s-themed party to celebrate the premiere.

27th annual SAFILM Festival Passes are $109, for all-access to screenings, filmmaker panels and nightly parties at the Thompson Hotel, plus the official and commemorative 2021 SAFILM T-shirt! Day Passes are $49 for each day’s full roster of screenings and events.
