Blizzcon 2017 and WCS StarCraft 2 News and Update
Starcraft 2 didn’t have a lot of updates for us, but the updates that they did provide were both surprising and exciting. At Blizzcon, Blizzard announced that Starcraft 2 is now going to be free-to-play. On November 14, the Wings of Liberty campaign is going to be free to everyone. Now those who had already previously purchased the game will get the next dlc, Heart of the Swarm, free. Along with the dlc, everyone will have full access to ranked play and be able to play every co-op commander up to level 5. They also announced that a new commander will be available as well, the duo Han and Horner, will be a combination of Mira Han and Matt Horner.
In the national WCS at Blizzcon this year we had an exciting tournament full of unexpected twists and turns. Lee ‘Rogue’ Byung Ryul won the grand finals defeating Eo ‘soO’ Yoon Su 4-2 and was crowned the best StarCraft 2 player in the world. He’s was the overall favorite to wins and it seems like now we know why. Can’t wait to see what this man is able to do in the future, but all I know is he is going to be around for quite some time.
